Chris Coppolo is not only an actor but an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) serving as a seminary professor and evangelist with Miami International Seminary-in-Prison (MINTS Seminary In-Prison). As a seminary professor, Chris teaches seminary classes to prison inmates at Dade Correctional Institution and Everglades Correctional Institution in South Florida. As an evangelist, Chris travels to state prisons throughout the U.S. performing Mark’s Gospel - Live Onstage!

Performing Mark’s Gospel as a theatrical experience creates a unique opportunity to share the Gospel with those who might otherwise reject listening to the typical gospel presentation. The response from this ministry has been overwhelming! At each performance Chris has witnessed firsthand the power of God’s spoken Word as it pierces the heart of these broken men in desperate need of God’s grace and mercy.

Below are letters from the inmates themselves expressing the impact of experiencing Mark’s Gospel - Live Onstage! To read more testimonials from inmates and information on Chris’s ministry with MINTS Seminary In-Prison download the booklet Letters from Prison.

Using Mark’s Gospel - Live Onstage! to Create In-Prison Seminaries

Following each performance, inmates are given the opportunity to enroll in bible and theology courses facilitated through MINTS Seminary In-Prison.

Therefore, every performance of Mark’s Gospel is an opportunity for establishing a MINTS study center in those prisons where inmates can earn AA to doctorate-level degrees! There are 1,700 prisons throughout the United States and 2.1 million inmates currently behind bars. The harvest is plentiful, but to reach this population Chris needs support from individuals and churches. By booking Mark’s Gospel - Live Onstage! at your church or organization you will help support Chris’ ministry with MINTS Seminary-In Prison.
